Terms of service
Last updated 19 October 2026
These terms apply to everyone who uses Takane Serve: restaurants and shops that run a store on it (“merchants”) and guests who order from those stores (“customers”). By creating a store or placing an order you agree to them.
1. What the platform does
Takane Serve gives merchants a digital menu, table QR ordering, a kitchen screen and tools to collect payments. Each store is run by its merchant. The merchant, not Takane Serve, is the seller of the food and goods, sets prices and taxes, and is responsible for what it serves.
2. Merchant accounts
- Give accurate business, contact and payment details, and keep them up to date.
- Keep your login safe. You are responsible for everything done from your account.
- We review every new store and may refuse or suspend a store that breaks these terms or the platform rules.
- You must hold the licences your business needs, including FSSAI registration for food businesses and GST registration where required.
3. Subscriptions and billing
- New stores start with a 7-day free trial once approved. After it ends, the store needs an active paid plan to take orders.
- Plans are billed monthly in advance by UPI to the platform. Each payment adds 30 days; paying early keeps unused days.
- Each plan has limits (such as tables and menu items) and features. Upgrades apply at once; the new price applies from the next payment.
- You can stop paying at any time. When a subscription lapses there is a short grace period, then ordering stops. Your data is kept so you can come back.
- Fees already paid are not refunded except where the law requires it or we cancel your store without cause.
- Invoices are available in your dashboard and are sent to your registered WhatsApp number.
4. Payments between customers and merchants
- Customer UPI payments go directly from the customer's bank to the merchant's UPI ID. Takane Serve never holds that money.
- Refunds, cancellations and disputes about an order are between the customer and the merchant. Merchants must handle them fairly and promptly.
- A payment is marked paid only after it is confirmed by the merchant's payment gateway or by the merchant's staff. If money left your account but the order shows unpaid, contact the store with your UPI reference.
5. Customer orders and reviews
- Prices shown before checkout are a preview; the store confirms the final price when you order.
- You may review an order once it is ready. Reviews must be honest and about your own order. We and the merchant may hide reviews that are abusive, fake or off-topic.
- If you share a WhatsApp number, the store may send you your receipt and messages about your order.
6. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no illegal goods, fraud, fake orders or reviews, spam, attempts to break security, or scraping. The full list is in the platform rules.
7. Availability and liability
We work to keep Takane Serverunning but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Online payments through Paytm and emails rely on third-party services and may be delayed or fail. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to a merchant is limited to the subscription fees it paid in the three months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost profits or indirect losses.
8. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will tell merchants about important changes in advance. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of the city where Takane Serve is registered have jurisdiction.
Takane Serve is operated by Takane System. Questions? Write to pravinheisnam@gmail.com.
