Android
Phones and tablets for the kitchen, counter and waiters
Download for Android(about 4 MB)
1. Tap Download on the phone or tablet itself.
2. Open the downloaded file. If Android asks, allow your browser to install apps.
3. Open Takane Serve once with internet, then set the device up for staff.
Windows
Counter and kitchen computers. Also runs the local hub that keeps devices in step offline
Download for Windows(about 115 MB)
1. Run the downloaded installer.
2. If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, choose More info → Run anyway.
3. When Windows asks about network access, allow it on private networks, so your other devices can reach the hub.
Mac
Counter and kitchen Macs. Also runs the local hub
Download for Mac(about 210 MB)
1. Open the downloaded file and drag Takane Serve into Applications.
2. The first time, right-click (or Control-click) the app and choose Open, then Open again.

1. Until then, open takanesystems.in/staff in Safari and choose Share → Add to Home Screen.

After installing

Open the app once with internet.
Tap Owner sign in and sign in with your store account, then go to Settings → Staff: set PINs and choose Use this device for staff.
Staff pick their profile (Kitchen, Counter, Waiter) and enter their PIN. From now on it opens without internet too.
Optional: on a Windows or Mac computer that stays on during service, the app also runs the local hub. Pair your tablets and phones with it (Connection → Pair with a hub), so they share orders even while the internet is down.
